Kamay ni Jesus, Batis ng Aramin and Majayjay Falls | Backpacker Mix
For Holyweek 2015, I had quite the great adventure as my family went on to do their "panata" which is to go up the Kamay ni Jesus shrine in Lucban, Quezon and spend the Easter Sunday with a Healing Mass in the church of the said shrine...
We got out of the house and on the road Black Saturday, had a stop over at a Jolibee for a quick mirienda, and within around 3-3.5 hours we were there at our destination- Batis ng Aramin located in Lucban, Quezon.
Batis ng Aramin is a resort/hotel conveniently located right in front of the Kamay ni Jesus shrine, all you have to do is cross the street and you're there. :3
We got the Hilltop room that has enough beds for around 14 people and 4 kids.
Batis ng Aramin, being a resort first, has quite a LOT of pools. There's one near our place, a kiddie pool and a private pool with a playground set of swings and slide on one side for the kids, another below the Lambingan Bridge, and 2 more sets of pools, one having slides for kids and adults alike and another is a private pool for the other cottage rooms.
We got to go swimming first (night swimming) and the slide was a blast as it was as smooth as butter, and my daughter Jenae really liked the kiddie slides. Unfortunately, his dad had to hold him wile sliding cause she doesn't know how to swim by herself yet...
The next day we went ahead with the mass and got to Kamay ni Jesus. As I have a couple of really really makulit kids, I didn't bother to go up the shrine, as I have already done it before my baby Rafael was born.
After the mass, Pichi and I had our share of fun by doing another great activity that is for the more adventurous- Wall Climbing, Rappelling and Zip Line.
The Zip line was great as starters, and I even saw this 4 or 5 year old girl going on it again and again and again. It's not that long, but as I said for those who are just trying things out, this is a great start to get the adrenaline pumping.
Next thing that Pichi and I did was wall climbing. I pretty much sucked at it, or maybe Pichi was just that good cause he got up the whole course in less than 1 minute. And to think that I got a couple of stones ahead of him... GAWD. I think I married Spiderman... :3

Me and Pichi Wall Climbing
Rappelling was the one that I liked the most cause it reminded me of the trapeze thing I did a couple of months back. The great thing with Rappelling is that you are the one who controls the ropes, at ikaw rin ang bibitaw... It's up to you if you wanna go faster or slower... Pichi was a natural at rappelling, or maybe cause it's his second time to do this... I did this one a couple of times and I really love it. :)

After that, we were set to check out of the hotel, and so we got out and bought a couple of stuff from the market, mainly Lucban Longganisa and Broas. Lucban, Quezon has the best longganisa for me, as it is very garlicky and meaty, but I'll be going deeper into that in another post.
Afterwards we drove off, and on the way home we stopped by Majayjay Falls... We first walked along this trail that took around 15-20 minutes...
But all that walk is totally worth it for what I got to see- the rocks and the riverbed beneath seriously clear and pristine water... It's like magic for me. Sorry na, first time ko kasi makakita ng falls in real life eh hehehe...
I really enjoyed the view and I think that if one will come in here on say a weekday or a non- holiday weekend then this is THE place to enjoy the great outdoors and have your Tadhana moment on. :3
