Maty's Tapsilog and BBQ -The Best Tapa in Town!|iMunch
Ever since I got myself tied up to my ex-boyfriend(now husband), he's made it a point to introduce me to his favorite eating places in the southern part of Manila. Before I even considered myself a blogger, or a beauty enthusiast at that, I was always a Foodie at heart. So this part of our relationship was most welcome...
Back to the restaurant, Maty's Tapsilog and BBQ is certainly living up par to their motto of being the best. Here are some of my Must- Order food whenever I get the chance to eat up here:
TapSiLog is their original recipe of tapa, but please be mindful of your expectations as this does not look like the ordinary tapa that you usually have. Theirs is shredded and yet it still has that loving beef tapa flavor that you've become accustomed to.
Uniqueness of the dish doesn't stop there as most who frequent the place put in ketchup and some vinegar as their dip. All I can say is keep an open mind and taste, as you'll never appreciate the dish if you "conform to the norm" of vinegar and unshredded tapa.
As per quantity and price, it's all good for 70.00 Php per serving, and they serve quite a lot. They also have that free soup if you'll want it. ;)
My other go-to favorite is their LiempSiLog which is currently priced at 105.00Php but packs quite a punch in quantity and quality. If you'll be going to their newest looking Don Galo Branch (the one with a 2nd floor), their serving of this dish can feed 2-3 persons. Just order some more extra rice baby. hahaha! I can finish only half of the meat, considering I order 2 garlic rice as it is that good in quantity. The rest papak ko na hehehe... Tastewise, it can actually compare to Andok's liempo so that's saying something.
Their BBQ is also quite okay if you're looking for that sweet savoury taste. They have a BarSiLog deal where you'll get a stick of BBQ, sinangag and fried egg for an affordable price of less than 40 Pesos. And their BBQ is tender to boot. :)
They also serve a variety of other pinoy loved dishes like pancit bihon and also chilled taho for dessert. Overall, for the quantity and quality of the dish I'd give this one a 4 out of 5 rating. :)

I'm a sucker for tapsilog. This is one thing I miss whenever I travel abroad. This one looks really good.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Glad to hear this food restaurant in Paranaque!! I love exploring places to visit food restaurants!! Will try this soon!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin who lived in Paranaque was talking about Matys tapsilog. He said, he will treat us with tapsilog when we visit their new home. Masarap siguro talaga.
ReplyDeleteYummm! The tapa sure looks good. Too bad I'm from Baguio. But hey, if by any chance I do find myself in Paranaque or any place nearby, I'll surely check the place out. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLooking at it makes me hungry. I do love tapsilogan/carinderia style. Eating to a place like this feels like home.

ReplyDeleteYou made me crave for tapsilog. That's one of my favorites, specially the variant of stripped or shredded meat. I will check this one ASAP.
ReplyDeleteNakita kona tong matys na to. Kakaloka ang place along the road lang pala. Tara? Food trip jan pero commute ha
ReplyDeleteI was a tapsilog lover back in college but ever since the tapsihan near the school closed, I didn't want to try other tapsihan in our area. The tapa there was hard to forget. But seeing that photo of the shredded tapa quite intrigued me. It looks almost like the one from our school. If I pass by the area, I will definitely give that a try.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of tapsilog especially the drier ones. This looks tasty good! Tapa flakes love :)
