Asus Zenfone Selfie 4 Review

I recently unboxed the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie a couple of weeks ago.. Asus for me is a new brand to delve into. I am not a hardcore techie, I ask my husband for some help with the specs of things but I do know a few basics like how memory and the processor are things to look out for if you're into gaming.


As for me, I always look into the rear camera and the front camera capabilities as well because of my passion for photography. And from using the Asus Zenfone Selfie 4, I must say I'm pretty impressed. So here are the top 3 features I love, why I think this unit is awesome and a full review + Specs of the Asus Zenfone Selfie 4:

Instant Touch Up with their Beauty Mode Feature

I have never seen any phone with such an extensive beautification feature like this one. The point that you can make your face look flawless is a usual, but to get to contour or make yourself look like you're wearing contacts is absurd in a GREAT way! Of course, to get maximum results you should use this in a minimum amount. This one is on the top of my list because I can't really wear contacts... They hurt as hell when I apply one but I like dressing up and looking kawaii... And with this one you get that kawaii look without the need for contacts. :D

Another plus is that you still get to look decent while taking decent looking photos even in low light situations with the softlight LED flash that it has..

More People, More Fun with Asus Selfie/Wefie Camera

So Asus is upping their selfie game with adding a 120° camera so that you can enjoy taking barkada wefies without the need of a selfie stick. The best thing with this is that you get to see everybody without the need of your face being so "upfront", a common problem when taking wefies. 

More than Selfies, Multitask with the Split Screen Feature

So the thing here is that I have kids and they occasionally ask me to play something on youtube. The problem is I can't give them that if I'm checking out instagram posts or reading my favorite e-book/fanfiction. Asus and the Zenfone 4 Selfie's split screen feature is THE BOMB. Now I can let my kiddos watch some baby shark while I'm reading or editing my photos with snapseed, all in one device.

So those are the top features of the Asus Zenfone Selfie 4 that I love. But aside from that, there's also the point that it's so light and easy to carry, the grip is nice because of the matte finish and that Deepsea Black color is something that I adore as it is really subtle but is different from all the other phones. 

So aside from those features, specs wise I am loving that 3000 mAh battery because it can withstand a whole day's worth of usage,with my data on and social media apps always running. Also, I can play those hard core games with ease here because of the snapdragon octacore chipset which is another bonus. 

There are pros and cons though, but it really depends on what you're after. I find that the auto light in the selfie mode makes my skin a little too pale, hence I always have to tap it down a notch, or how the colors look a bit blueish and faded but once you've uploaded it to facebook it's as vibrant as ever. But those are just minor details that I will gleefully trade for this powerful lightweight phone.

If you're looking forward to capturing great selfie moments with friends and family without the haggard looks or a need to lug a powerbank everywhere then I think the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie is the perfect one for you!

It's pretty manageable at a price of Php13,995... After all, if you're all up for the awesome selfies then this, with it's features and 20MP camera for that purpose is a great investment!
