Happy Skin Power Pout Lip Laquer Swatches and Review
Another lip product review! Just last month I won a giveaway from Project Vanity. What I really love about joining is the chance to try out products that I know I won't be buying ASAP just because I have other mom priorities. Anyways, one of the prizes included is the Happy Skin Power Pout Moisturizing Lip Laquer.
Upon checking out the website the only shade available is Strong and Sexy, but what was included in my winnings is the shade Royal Treatment. From what I remember when this first launched, this has 3 shades: Royal Treatment, Strong and Sexy and Hear Me Roar.
Packaging
The packaging looks much like any liquid lipstick that you can find, with the own "Happy Skin" flavor. I am more impressed though with the wand that they have here. This type of wand (which honestly reminds me of something from biology LOL) usually means you can get just the right amount of product for your lips, making application easy and not too thick. It is the same wand that is used in a Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink. (Review Here)
Price and where to Buy
You can buy this in BeatyMNL, Lazada, Happy Skin Website and Happy Skin stores in malls for 699 Php.
Swatches and Longevity
The shade Royal Treatment is the pink one below.
The claims of this lipstick according to the website are the following:
- weightless full-on color without any tacky feel.
- cover lips in one swipe giving you an even finish.
- feather-light color and shine without the stickiness.
When I used this on my lips, the shade Royal Treatment is a pinkish nude with a bit of lilac or purple undertones to it. It looks much like an innocent color actually. I like this when I keep my mouth closed cause it looks so barbie and innocent or mala dalagang pilipina. It gives a healthy shine on the lips unlike mattes which makes the lips look dry. You be the judge on my swatches yeah? :D I only wore the lipstick for these swatches, no other makeup. As for the claims, it does not feel tacky at all even if it is in gloss consistency, and it feels light on the lips. Also, I got that much pigment in just one swipe so I'd say it is a YES for their claims.
Longevity wise, this can last for up to 3 hours, provided that you don't really eat much. Do consider that this is of a gloss texture that is why I think it had a shorter lifespan on me. When you eat though, you have to reapply.
Would I repurchase? Probably in the shade Strong and Sexy. It looks more like my thing cause for my personal preference, I am more of a peach and matte person. Also, it didn't really enhance my "pout" too much. hahaha so don't expect to be leveling with the Kardashians when you wear this. Another thing I don't like with pinks in general is it kinda makes my teeth more yellow than usual. LOL. I'm definitely giving this one to my sister, I know she can pull it off better than me.
