Maybelline V Face Duo Powder Review and Swatch

I usually love Maybelline for their products cause they always deliver nicely. But for the Maybelline V Face Duo Powder, it was not the case. Read on to find out why. :D

Packaging and Price

The packaging has nice aesthetics, with a glossy black cover, the product inside and a compartment for a brush or sponge as well. But you can definitely tell it is a bit cheap cause the plastic is really light and flimsy.

And I was right. After a couple of months in my travel bag, the connecting wire broke. You can see it in the photo below.

I have a love hate relationship with this thing. I love how this powder is perfect for subtle cotouring and highlight, and it stays on pretty well at 4-5 hours before the contour slowly fades away, but when I go to the beach and get a tan, the contour shade Light to Medium is the actual shade of my morena skin. LOL So, shade wise, I think I should've gotten a darker color so I can use it all year round.

It has a LOT of fall-out though. And this is where it breaks my heart. Because I cannot wear something white while contouring my face with this, especially when I contour my jawline cause it transfers. LOL

It is worth 499 Php, available in all Maybelline counters nationwide. I got this from a press kit before,  and while the highlighting shade is perfect and I can forgive the contouring shade cause it is on a medium scale which blends to my skin tone if I'm more tan, but still, I don't think I would buy it again just for the point that the fall out is similar to baby powder/loose powder.
