Asus Zenfone Live L1 Tech Review

You may want to try the Asus Zenfone Live L1 if you're a student or in a tight budget.Why? Cause this phone is pretty decent and is easy on the wallet!

I got the chance to try out the Asus Zenfone Live L1 a couple of weeks ago. It was launched last year in July 2018 to cater to people looking for a good budget friendly smartphone.

The Live L1 has definitely stepped up from its predecessor from 2017, with improvements like 18:9 HD+ display in a 5-inch body, 3000mAh battery and triple slot tray which can hold 2nano sims and a micro SD card of up to 2TB.

More Screen!

The screen and it's audio is perfect for watching movies and listening to your favorite music on spotify or youtube. It has slimmer top and bottom bezels compared to the 2017 ZenFone Live.

More Energy!

This packs a 3000 mAh battery which is enough for a day's work of social media, mobile data/internet consuming and a couple of hours of light gaming on the side.

More Fun!

For capturing memories, you're getting a 13MP rear camera and a 5mp fixed front camera with flash. You won't find any buttons on this phone as it uses on screen navigation. Here are some test shots below done with the rear camera on low light and cloudy day situtaion.

Here's some selfie shots with the 5mp camera. I noticed that photos are more sharp with the rear cam as opposed to the selfie cam, especially in low light situations.

Design and Build

The Asus Zenfone Live l1 looks and feels premium with it's matte cover, but it is lightweight as its case is made of plastic. For security, you have face unlock feature to give up the hassle of inputting passwords and the like.

You have four colors to choose from to help bring out the personality of your phone. I have here Midnight Black but there's also Space Blue, Rose Pink and Shimmer Gold.

The Zenfone Live L1 has a sister as well, the Live L1 Android Go.
