10th International PyroMusical Competiton 2019 | How to go to SM Clark
The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition has become a tradition of enjoyment in SM Mall of Asia to most families for the past 9 years.
10th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition
We have 10 competing countries on a battle for the most breathtaking fireworks performance accompanied with music that will suit their choice. A musical or dance choreography of lights if you will. I have watched it a couple of times in SM Mall of Asia with a date and with my kids and family, and it always gives us that extra wonder and happiness that you need after a very hectic work week. Even those who just happen to pass by Roxas Boulevard are entranced when the show starts.
*Above is France's Entry*
That is how big this show is - you can see it above the big sky much like a light painting.
In Support of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program
While the Pyrotechnics have always complied with the international standards for environmental safety, things took a change for its 10th year. For this year, SM Supermalls moved the venue to SM City Clark in Angeles, Pampanga in agreement to DENR's wishes. The Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program needs all the help in can get. And while the decision is a bit abrupt, we should be happy that people are more concerned of our planet this year.
Schedule of 10th PIPC
The Pampanga skyline witnessed France’s “Brezac Artifices” followed by a burst of vibrant colors by Finland’s "Oy Pyroman", as you can see below. I went there last week, March 9th.

How to go to Sm City Clark from Manila
Driving
You can drive going to SM City Clark by taking the NLEX and SCTEX route. Exit at South Clark and:- Head south on OMNI Driveway toward Manuel A. Roxas Hwy
- Turn left onto Manuel A. Roxas Hwy
- Once you see the SM City Clark Mall on your left, turn left and look for the parking area.
Toll fee is at an estimate of 500 Php roundtrip and if you are using a diesel engine car, gas up 1300Php worth.
P2P Bus
Commuting nowadays is made easier with P2P as it gives commuters more options. Before, we were only using Philtranco and they only have up to 5 scheduled rides per day.Perks of being in a P2P bus:
- bigger legroom,
- WIFI
- generally more comfortable.
The usual schedule is there is a bus every hour. But you have to make room for a bit of time because of the heavy Metro Manila Traffic. A safe hour to allot with travel is at least 3 to 4 hours.
- Trinoma to Clark schedule: 3AM to 11PM ( P2P Terminal along EDSA, near MRT North Avenue Station) : Php 280
- Clark to Trinoma schedule: 430 AM to 9PM :Php 280
You can check the Genesis Transport Service Official FB Page for more details, or contact (02) 332 8075 / (02) 421 1425, for immediate concerns.
Possible Expenses when you go to the 10th PIPC
Ticket Prices for the 10th PIPC are as follows:
- Patron with Dinner: Php 1,800
- VIP: Php 600
- Gold: Php 350
- Silver: Php 120
Take note that on the closing day of the 10th PIPC, ticket prices will vary. You can also get coupons for purchase in Metrodeal starting February 13, 2019. This option is better and more affordable especially if you are getting the VIP ticket, as you will only pay 499 Php instead of 600 Php.
IF you're looking for food, there are the usual fast food around the area of the 10th PIPC, like Mcdonalds, Jolibee and more. Difference between VIP Vs. Gold or Silver tickets is the fact that you can get a monoblock chair with the VIP, and with the Gold/Silver tickets I hear that it is standing ovation only. Snacks and milk for the kids can be brought inside though.
Is the 10th PIPC worth the drive to SM City Clark?
I personally got to witness the March 9th performance of France and Finland. As a girl who lives in the south part of manila, I would say that YES. It is still worth it to drive all the way to Pampanga for such a spectacular show. This Pyromusical Competition never ceases to amaze me and if it has been a part of your family tradition for so long, then I guess yes, it is. The sights are always going to be different every single time, and there will always be surprises along the way of the competition. If you want some sure great shows however, I would always say that the opening and closing show of our own country, Philippines, is in the top tier of must watch with this competition.

This magnificent family-friendly bonding experience is made possible with Platinum Fireworks Inc., the City of Angeles, Pampanga, the Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotions Board, Philippine Reclamation Authority and our many sponsors.
