Mountain Weekend Getaway and Staycation over at Soro Soro Springs in Batangas
It has been way too long since my last adventure, so I went south a couple of weeks ago. While Batangas is usually known for beaches, there is also some (not so) secret places you can crash to. Especially for that little peace and quiet atop the mountains while dipping in the pool. Like Soro Soro Springs Mountain Resort.
Soro Soro Springs Mountain Resort
The place is well equipped for a weekend getaway- be it for a day tour or overnight stay. We got there in record time- around an hour and 30 minutes but on average, it will take you 2 hours to get there from Manila. The spots that I loved the most is the pools, especially the one that's on the topmost part of the resort. All of the pools are filled with natural spring water.
The whole place in itself is a mountainside escape, everywhere you look, you know you can lay down and curl under the shade of trees with a good book.
While the place accommodates a day tour, I would suggest you go for an overnight stay to fully appreciate the mountainside relaxation Soro Soro Springs Mountain Resort offers. 12 hours is not enough. :D
The Filipino Rambler and the IG Worthy hanging bridge |
The adventure here comes in the form of their air bike and the two hanging bridges that will take you to the other side of the resort. You will have to take a short hike starting with these bridges to get to the resort's highest point.
I swear, the mini hike is worth it for a view like this. |
You can bring food here- they have no corckage for food. They also have a convenience store in the area so drinks, chips and necessities are abundant. But if you want the full experience I suggest that you order from them a boodle fight set (1500 Php) that is great for up to 10 persons. Ours had:
Baby Back Ribs
Steamed Mussels and Shrimps
Pancit Bihon Canton
Grilled Milkfish (bangus) and Grilled Tilapia
Pumpkin soup
Cool off with a banana split for 60 pesos per serving <3
PS: Ask for their tulingan sa gata, it's one of the best ones that I've tried!

From there, there are 3 options:
- Ride a tricycle to the resort (Special Trip: 200 Php).
