Five MYTHS about Goat's Milk for Growing Up Kids Debunked
Last week, I was introduced to another type of milk for kids 3 years old and above out in the market- DG Goat Milk Beverage for Kids. Now, I've seen in parenting forums that goat's milk is great if your kid is allergic to other animal sourced milk out there. I guess I am living under a rock because I never thought there was a better alternative to kid's growing up milk- but here we are!
After doing a bit of my own research and with the info I got from last week's launch, I'm here to debunk some MYTHS on Goats Milk for kids and show where to get your hands on some DG for your own kiddos.
Myth 1: Goats Milk tastes funny
NOT TRUE. I'm debunking this one based on my personal experience.
I drank DG3 for kids and it was more creamier and little cheesy in smell, yes, but it still tastes like milk. I really love cheese by the way, so it doesn't bother me.The smell is not strong, just a little bit more "cheese-y" for me. I think the difference is because of the smaller proteins and fat molecules that is in this type of milk.
Myth 2: Cow's Milk is more known so it must be better than the others
Again, NOT TRUE. Goat's milk is naturally more complete than cow's milk, which makes goat's milk better.
Goats, much like humans, produce their milk through Apocrine Secretion. This means less need for complex fortification of nutrients because they are already in the goats milk itself. Apocrine Secretion is where milk fat and bioactive components in mammary secretory cells are enveloped by cell membranes as they are secreted. As a result, milk produced by goats have naturally occurring bioactive components such as:- Polyamines for intestinal cell growth and digestive capacity development
- Nucleotides for gastrointestinal health, maturation, and recovery
- Free Amino Acids and Glutamic Acid for immunity and gut energy
- Taurine for bile salt formation (necessary for fat digestion), brain and retina development
- Growth Factors such as IGF1 and TGF Beta for immunity and growth development
- Extensive and complicated fortification for these nutrients are no longer necessary!
Myth 3: Goat's Milk might cause allergies to my kid!
NOPE. Kids who are allergic to Cow's Milk can actually digest goat's milk better!
I've read this in parenting forums, and moms who cannot produce enough breastmilk are usually giving their kids Cow's milk. Myself included, I used to fret everytime there was excessive reflux of milk, and I read from other mom's testimonies that theirs had malabsorption and caused digestive and respiratory allergies, aside sa skin rashes. Most moms commented that after using goat's milk, all these symptoms disappeared. I have a feeling that it is because of #2 above, or #4 below.

And if it is great for infants who doesn't have the means to get the right amount of breastmilk, I can just imagine how awesome it is to have our kiddos try some DG Goat Milk for kids too!
Myth 4: Goat's Milk is heavily Processed! What about the poor goats? Are you sure that they got the milk safely from them? is it clean?
DG Goats Milk for kids is produced and imported from the Dairy Goat Co-operative in Hamilton, New Zealand. Their Goat Milk is made responsibly.
They use only the healthiest Saanen goats from New Zealand to ensure having milk of the highest quality. The process of converting pure goat milk into a safe, exceptional powdered milk beverage is a gentle, and minimal one; which results in a product closer to its natural source!Myth 5: Where do I get Goat's Milk? Is it even widely available?
Okay, not totally myth, but you can get your DG Goat Milk for Kids via Lazada and Shopee, aside from getting it at leading drugstores nationwide.
DG Goat Milk is competitively priced against other goat's milk in the market. I suggest you take advantage of the incoming christmas sale too! Hello 12.12 hahaha

ReplyDeleteWho would have thought that goat's milk has these many amazing benefits? 😍 And because it is the very first powdered goat milk product here in the Philippines, some people, uncluding me to be honest, may have second thoughts on trying it because we usually go with the traditional cow's milk. But because it is tested and trusted by many momfluencers in the mommy community, I am also complacent to try it and share it to my sisters-in-law 😊
