Hot Air Balloons, Paragliding and a Weekend of Almost Everything that Flies at The Flying Carnival 2020
It has been two decades since the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta has been up and flying. Over the years, they have always stayed true to their objectives of sparking interest in aviation, instill discipline in your pilots and give the spirit of volunteerism to the aviation community. As the organizers want to continue spreading this advocacy across the Philippines, they are now launching "The Flying Carnival 2020: A weekend of Almost Everything that Flies". As they say- new venue, new outlook, and even greater adventures await!
This is a three day event with you enjoying the view of the skies from the ground, or hopefully you up above enjoying the view below. Get ready for a weekend of Hot Air Balloons, Helicopters, air sports events with a couple of aviation career seminars, fly markets, food booths and family fun time! This will be held at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite on March 6-8, 2020.
I can personally attest to the fun and freedom that you will get to enjoy- from the marvel of seeing these balloons go up for early morning balloon flights to enjoying the view- be it a couple of feet above ground or totally above ground! Another great thing is for southies, you won't have to travel too far to get to enjoy everything. After the balloon flights there are also non stop flying exhebitions like paragliding, skydiving, helicopter demonstrations, RC control line exhibitions and kite flying.
What to expect aside from these for The Flying Carnival 2020?
If you are considering a career in aviation, you can attend the Aviation Career Seminars. The speakers are renowned aviators and industry practitioners – Fighter pilots from the Philippine Air Force; Naval Air Group pilots from the Philippine Navy; a female captain from Cebu Pacific Air, and Air Traffic Controller from the Air Traffic Service. Joining these speakers is FAI World Record holder from Spain, Michel Gordillo; Hot Air Balloon pilot from the United Kingdom, Pete Bish; and Capt. Joy Roa of Asian Air Safari. The seminars will be available to Business Class ticket holders. Seminar attendees will be given a certificate of completion, and can enjoy meals and gain admission to the event.
If you want to experience the carnival in comfort, I suggest that you get the First Class Ticket, which allows an all-access pass to the event, including meals, private viewing areas, and access to the aviation seminars and air-conditioned bazaar.
Getting to ride the hot air balloons and paragliding have different rates, I believe.
This event is co-presented by Okada Manila, the country’s ultra luxury integrated resort, and Rewards Circle. For tickets and other information, visit www.philballoonfest.net or stay up-to-date with event info by following @PIHABF on Facebook, and @philballoonfest on Instagram.
