GoCampus 5G-Powered Workshop: Learn Something New in a Virtual Hangout
Innovation is key to ushering the nation into the future, and the youth plays a huge role in shaping it. That’s why it’s important for them to be equipped with all the tools they need to turn their brave ideas into reality.
Technology these days is filled with tools to help them do this, and 5G is one of the most robust and promising tools that can fuel their drive to build the nation. Using 5G-powered solutions to address today’s pressing issues, they can transform the country into the exciting, inspiring place all Filipino youth deserve to live in.
Knowing how important it is for the youth to have these skills, Globe Virtual Hangouts is holding 5G Hackathon enablement workshops which are designed to arm aspiring entrepreneurs with tools to help them thrive and succeed in the new normal and help take the country forward.
You can choose from a range of workshops that will teach you a range of lessons such as reinventing the world through 5G, how to get started with augmented reality in a classroom setting, how to pitch your startup, and the importance of Edge Computing in today’s digital transformation. The sessions will be led by industry experts from technology giants such as Alibaba Cloud, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Intel.
“We at Globe recognize Filipinos have groundbreaking ideas and these can elevate the country further,” Eric Leif Tanbauco, Globe Telecom’s head of Globe Prepaid said. “Through this series of enablement workshops, we hope to help aspiring entrepreneurs discover the possibilities of making their business ideas become a reality through the power of Globe’s roundbreaking 5G technology.”
The 5G Hackathon enablement workshop series powered by Virtual Hangouts is a project organized in partnership with the Animo Labs of De La Salle University-Manila. It is open to all Filipino senior high school, college (undergraduate and graduate) students, alumni, faculty, and professionals. To join, you must form a group of 2 to 5 members, a mix of students, faculty, alumni, and professionals.
At the end of the workshop series, teams will be asked to submit business ideas. Teams who reach the hackathon will be given a chance to experience and prototype their ideas using 5G technology. There will be three champion teams at the end of the competition, and Globe is giving over P500,000 worth of prizes to the teams with winning ideas.
Globe Virtual Hangouts’ series of 5G Hackathon enablement workshops is part of Globe’s efforts to uplift and elevate Filipinos’ experiences at home. Through Globe Virtual Hangouts, you can enjoy new ways to connect, pursue your passions and even discover new ones!
