REVIEW: Yummy, World Famous Liang Crispy Rolls Opens at SM Aura BGC
Ever saw one of those scallion pancakes that you see all over Taiwan and Singapore? Well, no need to go all the way there cause Liang Crispy Rolls is finally here in Metro Manila!
I went up and about to their flagship store here, at SM Aura in BGC. And I am here to give you the best reason yet to #LetTheGoodTimesRoll !
Think crispy, flaky and light pancakes filled with savory and satisfying veggie, cheesy or meaty fillings. Liang Crispy Roll is the best answer if you are craving for something crispy, savory, light and satisfying. Liang Crispy Roll will open this July 17, 2021, and you can find them on the 4th floor, near the Director's Club of SM Aura Premier in Bonifacio Global City. Read on to see my review and know how you can get 1 year's supply of rolls!
They have six flavors suited to any possible roll craving you have. I tried out four out of six flavors and here's my verdict on each individual roll.
Angus Beef Steak:
The best of the bunch for me! Starting out with their signature pancake batter, which turns into a fluffy, flaky, and crispy hybrid of paratha, roti, and pancake once cooked — making it a light but sturdy vessel for any of the sweet and savory signature fillings that you choose to have. Then you get your tender angus beef seared to a medium well, added with some lettuce and onions and your choice of garlic sauce or their red sauce.
It gives off a very savory taste and the beef itself is almost like butter even if it is cooked medium well. It is also quite filling once you're done though, 5/5 MUST GET
Pork BBQ:
The
flavor definitely caters to the Pinoy taste as this is a bit on the
sweet BBQ side. You again start with that freaky flaky exterior. It's so
flaky / crunchy that you can actually make ASMRs with it. Then you get a
bed of lettuce topped with that Barbecue Pork, and some onions too. 4/5
Recommended but I lean towards the Angus Beef for preference.
Grilled Chicken:
This one is your healthier substitute to the Angus Beef Roll. I loved the taste, as it has that smoky, savory notes, and the chicken is quite on the juicy side. This one is best paired with their garlic sauce for sure. 5/5 MUST GET, plus it is more affordable than the mentioned above rolls. Plus points for that!
L-R: Grilled Chicken, 5 Cheese Melt and Angus Beef Steak Liang Crispy Roll |
5 Cheese Melt:
If you don't care bout them calories then go get this roll of happiness from Liangs Crispy Rolls! You're getting that signature pancake batter, then a mix of American Cheese, Cream Cheese for the tangy notes, Cheddar, Mozzarella for that stretch factor and Parmesan for the nutty, salty notes on a bed of lettuce. This is something like a diva grilled cheese sandwich and I am living for it! 5/5 MUST GET
You gotta eat this one fast though or else it will be a bit too much, so you have to get your drink ready!
Speaking of drinks, I want to give a special mention for their house tea which you can get at 80Php, and it is a legit house blend, not too sweet tea that you will want more again. The Dalandan juice is also really refreshing and a nice change from the usual Pineapple juice that we see in stores.
I also love the vibe of the interiors, it's a nice place to sit, dine or have a date. The walls are very retro-ish and instagrammable with their neon lights.
For their opening, they're having a Buy 1 Take 1 Promo as well as 1 Year Supply of Liang Crispy Roll!

Cool! I frequent SM Aura and I always check out new restaurants in this place. Can't wait to try my verdict on the Angus beef based on your review. Haven't tried one though in Taiwan during my last visit. But this looks tempting to try ♥️
ReplyDeleteIto po Ang mga favorite Kong food Ang ganda ng presentation, talagang mapapatakam ka tingin pa lang.😋
ReplyDeleteI was here earlier. I love the food but my most favorite was the pork barbecue crunchy roll. I like how crisp and fresh the vegetables they use.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I was there a while ago and I must say that I loved the Angus Beef too! I was able to take home some of them but the wrapper is really not meant for take out I guess.
ReplyDeleteNow we're talking...this is just a stone's throw away from our place so we will be able to get our hands on those crispy rolls. And I know exactly where it's going to be, hah!
ReplyDeleteI miss going to SM Aura. When it's a bit better, I will try that there. It isn't often that I visit the metro anymore since last year. But when I do, BGC is one of the place we explore.. Hopefully soon.
ReplyDeleteFirst time to hear about this food and it looks so yummy! I am curious how they made the pancake butter crispy. Gusto ko tuloy tikman kaso wala naman ako sa PH.
ReplyDeleteWow looks so delicious will try Liang Crispy Rolls very soon.
