REVIEW: Bio Science Bio Water Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++
Sunscreen is the most important part of our skincare routine. Your skincare may be focused on anti aging or whitening or anti-acne, but the most prominent instruction at the end of all these is to apply sunscreen after you do everything else. I have tested and am here to review the Bio-Science Bio-Water Hydrating Sunscreen with SPF50+ PA++ for Sensitive Skin, which is the sunscreen that I have been using the past couple of months. It can still be very hot here in Metro Manila even if it is the ber months, and either way, we need to apply sunscreen all the time right?
Bioscience is a Singaporean beauty brand, but this specific product is manufactured in Malaysia.
Bio Science Bio-Water Hydrating Sunscreen Claims:
- SPF 50+ PA ++ Formula to prevent skin from Sun for maximum duration
- Contains Hyaluronic acid which intensively replenishes and locks in moisture, keeping your skin hydrated and supple
- Light weight texture with no greasy and no sticky feeling on skin
- Water based sunscreen for maximum hydration
- Suitable for sensitive skin
- Hyaluronic Acid helps to moisturize your skin and make skin soft and smooth and supple
Packaging, Swatch and Price:
The Bioscience Bio Water Hydrating Sunscreen has two variants, one is a 10ml travel sized bottle, and the other is a 40ml rectangular bottle. I personally like my sunscreen to have no smell, be lightweight, easy to absorb and gives protection for both UVA and UVB rays.
The Bio-Water Hydrating sunscreen gives me three out of the four things I want from my sunscreen.
- It has SPF50+ to cover the UVB rays, with PA++ which gives moderate protection from UVA Rays.
- It is really watery and liquidy in texture, and can easily set on the skin because it is lightweight. Once set, you won't feel that it is there.
- The only thing that I don't like is the initial smell, which dissipates after a few seconds of application.
- It has a bit of a flashback, which is usual with most sunscreens. I am okay to using this beneath my makeup, since the flashback is not as strong.
- It definitely works in the sun protection department with the one month that I have used it, as my face does not have any redness or uneven patches.
- If you reapply in the middle of the day, it does not feel greasy. You can absolutely feel that it also hydrates the skin. Probably due to the Hyaluronic Acid.
The price is a bit steep if you will purchase it as it is. I got mine from Shopee, and it was just the 10ml tube bottle. it lasted me a month's use while being very matipid with the product.
The 10ml Variant of the Bio Science Bio Water Hydrating Sunscreen is actually 299 Php. The 40ml variant costs for 999 Php. But when you wait for BOGO sales or Buy one, Get one free, or flash deals then I would say that it is worth it.
I am certainly repurchasing after I use up my other sunscreens, or if I come across a buy one, get one deal.
