Imagine Bigger Things as Canon Philippines launches the EOS R5 Mark II and EOS R1 in the Philippines

Canon Philippines recently introduced their high performance cameras, the EOS R5 Mark II and EOS R1. They are the latest top-tier, full-frame mirrorless cameras in the company’s Philippine lineup the launch in Raffles Makati.

The EOS R5 Mark II inherits the best and innovates from the original EOS R5 with all-around features for enhanced image quality and shooting efficiency.

The EOS R5 Mark II is faster, better, smarter, equipped with a 45-megapixel sensor, 8K 60P RAW recording. and next-generation Dual Pixel Intelligent AF system. This system leverages the Accelerated Capture image processing system’s powerful processing speed and power to achieve AF and subject detection performance surpassing that of the EOS R3. The 10-bit Canon Log 2 makes for more vivid color reproduction and seamless integration with the Cinema EOS workflow.

Renowned Filipino photographers Edwin Martinez, Jay Tablante, and Jijo De Guzman, along with filmmakers Kara Moreno and Ian Celis, were also present to hold individual discussions exploring the potential of the EOS R1 and R5 Mark II cameras for shooting natural landscapes, commercial portraits, sports, cinematography, and weddings.

Jijo De Guzman in particular was really impressed with the Dual Pixel Intelligent AF System. He mentions that it is one of his favorite things about the Canon EOS R5 Mark II as he mentioned that in sports photography for example, "Autofocus has to be fast, accurate and has to follow the right subject" And this is exactly what you can find in the R5 Mark II, as compared to previous cameras that has the autofocus change once another thing or person covers up your intended subject, this one stays on point. 

That was just one thing to love about these new cameras from Canon Philippines. I personally got to test them out and I find that the body alone is quite comfortable on my hands, the shutter is quicksilver fast for me at 30fps  with shutter speeds up to 1/32,000 sec when the electronic shutter is in use and the quality of sharpness one gets with that autofocus is sublime.
